How I think about my career.
What I enjoy doing
I work in what I'd call the structural layer: diagnosing where complexity is breaking trust in a system, then designing what resolves it before anyone starts building on top of it. This shows up as:
- Systems architecture: data governance, validation, and enablement frameworks that let complexity resolve before it reaches the people acting on it
- Direction-setting before execution: shaping the conceptual spine of a product or program while it's still ambiguous, so what gets built afterward inherits alignment instead of fighting for it
- Cross-functional translation: moving between business, technical, and vendor teams so each side can act without needing the others' full context
What I bring
- Structural clarity: I've architected the governance and validation infrastructure that let cross-channel teams trust their data without checking it themselves, and acted as the translator between business, technical, and vendor teams before feature execution began.
- Scaled capability: I've built the enablement frameworks and knowledge systems that let large, distributed teams act without individual hand-holding — training and onboarding offshore teams within a week of each release, and designing self-serve infrastructure that scaled from local pilot to a global rollout.
- Durability: I build things that outlast my involvement — self-serve systems that removed dependency on me, repeatable content frameworks that standardised communication across regional teams, a pilot program that scaled to 6 regions after I moved on.
- Delivery under pressure: My impact shows up in delivery and growth — leading a complex, regulatory product across 3 user types and 5 releases, ahead of schedule, largely alone; consistently ranking top 5 by revenue growth in a prior role.
Where I want to go next
I'm drawn to:
- Complex, trust-sensitive, information-heavy domains — where coherence across logic, interaction, and behaviour actually matters, not just polish
- Experience-led digital environments and cultural or creative ecosystems
- Products that help people discover, organise, or engage with what they genuinely care about, and that reduce cognitive load rather than adding to it
The moment I add the most value:
- A new product or venture with no clear shape yet
- An existing product at a strategic inflection point
- A team mid-pivot, needing coherence before it rebuilds
- A moment where execution has outrun the original thinking, and something feels off before anyone can say exactly what
How I operate best
I do my best work in ambiguous environments: a clear goal, but no fixed direction yet, and the time to sit with all the moving parts before committing to a path.
